I try to remember to take a camera around with me – I’m no photographer but sometimes things catch your eye and you just have to have a picture of it.
Here’s a few favourites – Mulilenje is a local shop – what a useful establishment to have right on one’s doorstep where one can not only have one’s syphilis cured but have one’s shoes mended at the very same time – who could ask for more?
Another of my favourite ever safari pictures (much better than the blood and gore of the many lion kills around the place) these young baboons getting matey with the local bushbuck – we always love seeing friendly and playful cross-species interaction like this. Taken by our good chum Andy.
And memories of a very special day we shared with a young, orphaned elephant rescued by the amazing Chipembele – www.chipembele.org
